For about 15 minutes last night I though I was going to have to postpone my tour. I was lying on Butze Rapids trail holding my knee and ankle after a spectacular, full-speed, running, head- over-heels tumble, down hill, as my toe caught a rock and launched me into the air. I have gravel embedded in my right palm, right knee, left forearm and scrapes all the way from my right wrist to my shoulder. I managed to hobble the last 10 minutes off the trail...no rescue required.
With the gravel extracted, the only long term damage I will endure is to my pride. My whole body today feels like it was hit by a truck!! Who would have thought trail running could be so dangerous.
1 more day of work!!!!
