Happy Birthday Prince Rupert

I am drinking a beer, sitting in my little office in the basement, balancing my books and thinking to myself that Mercedes (landlord) painted this room a really cheery yellow colour. It makes it less painful and easier to accept that being an emerging musician means being poor! Well, I am not doing it for the money anyhow! I got to play at the PAC in Prince Rupert again this week. It's always such a treat to be on the big stage! This time it was for city's 95th Birthday Celebration. The City and Musical Community put on a free performance, showcasing local talent and offering birthday cake (mmmmmm yummmy). I always say this town is a musical hotspot and this show made my point. Kate Fish one of the performers is one of the most promising vocalists I have heard in a long time. She has this great bluey, soulful voice that makes you sit up and listen and then relax and enjoy. The evening also involved many of Karin Lljung Music works Kids, Celtic Rain, Patti, Lonnie and Jewel (The Undies Girls)and many more. I played a new my new song ...still untitled. I have got to get better at the song naming stuff. Thursday night Gary came to town and we had a practice, while Cedar dosed in our armchair and Steve made oatmeal muffins (mmmmmm muffins) Well I had better go, I am starting to sound like Homer Simpson (mmmmmmmmm). Nite' Sall
