Share the Green
The annual hospital Equipment Fundraiser/ St Patty's Day celebration at the Crest was again a fun filled, green beer drinking extravaganza. The Mix 56 broadcast live from 2- 8pm showcasing local talent. Highlights for me were the young all-girl band Yo Fadda and Irish Song wielding local band Celtic Rain that showcased the talents Chis Vick on Fiddle. Gary and I played around 6:00pm. I was worried that Gary was not going to make it due to miss-communication on my part and a schedule that was running a bit early. He slid into his chair halfway through my first song, perfect timing! It was a great set...Adrenalin was up and the crowd was very reactive. At the end of the night we convinced Jacques Schmitt(sp?) to take the stage for an impromto jam. He pulled over an hour of covers out of his head, accompanied by Gary on Drum, Nancy on back up vocals and myself on shaker/vocals. Its the first time I have ever jammed like that in public. Lots of fun!
