Yesterday I got to cross one item off my "To do in BC List". As pathetic as it may sound I had yet to really swim in the Pacific Ocean. So yesterday after running the Rapids Trail, a friend and I drove out to Ridley Island, hiked up the road past the Coal and Grain Terminal out to this sweet sandy beach and went for a swim in the ocean. It was soooooo cold! Once the numbness set it in it was bearable. I love how salt water makes you buoyant!
This is a quote that someone passed on to me and I love it (I think it was once in a card)
'No one knows at what depth of spirit you wish to be admired'
Journal of canadian 'alt-folk-rock' singer songwriter Sall Gibson.
